Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman announces the 6th Annual District Attorney’s SPCA Support Drive, which is taking place now through January 2013.

The District Attorney’s Office recognizes the inability of animal victims to voice their pain so we continue to provide that voice and fight for them in court. Beyond battling for voiceless animal victims in court, our prosecutors have again organized a collection drive to benefit the Montgomery County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The support drive is being spearheaded by Assistant District Attorneys Lindsay O’Brien and Kathleen Colgan, who (in addition to their other duties on the Major Crimes Unit and the Sex Crimes Unit) specialize in and pursue animal cruelty cases on behalf of the District Attorney.

Anyone wishing to donate blankets, towels, canned pet food, animal toys or other items to benefit the Montgomery County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals can drop the items at the District Attorney’s Office located on the 4th Floor of the Montgomery County Courthouse.
