Lower Providence Township Police and Lower Providence Township Fire Department were dispatched at 2:41 p.m. on Friday for a report of a car fire at Audubon and Trooper roads.

The units responded to a two-door, black car parked above the Valley Forge Harley-Davidson store, near the entrance to Route 422. The car was smoking when units arrived.

Three fire trucks from LPTFD and two police cars were on the scene. A hose, hooked to the tank truck, was used to put out the smoking vehicle. It is unknown if the vehicle had an occupant at the time of the fire's start, but all doors, trunk and hood were open when reporters arrived at the scene.

The car appeared to be in the parked position (in a space) of the back lot of the store. It was a black, small two-door, which looked like a Plymouth Sundance model.

No injuries were reported. Patch will post updates to the emergency scene as they become available.
