Over $4,200 Worth of Equipment Stolen in Trooper
At least seven pieces of landscaping equipment was taken from an outside trailer on the parking lot of the Soil Rich company.
On Nov. 14, Lower Providence Police responded to the Soil Rich company, located at 501 N. Trooper Road in Norristown. The call was for theft of over $4,200 worth of equipment.
According to the police report, at approximately 7 a.m., Soil Rich employees contacted the owner of Gonzales Landscaping, as he rents a space for his landscaping trailer at the location. The call was in regards to his trailer being broken into while parked in the lot.
The owner told police that he secured his trailer on Nov. 13 between the hours of noon and 1 p.m. He arrived at approximately 7:20 a.m. the following morning, and found a padlocked side access door on his 2006 Roadmaster Trailer forced open.
Police itemized the following equipment reported stolen from the Gonzales Landscaping trailer:
- Five Raymax Shoulder Harness Blowers - $500 each
- Two Stihl Chainsaws - $400 each
- One Stihl Chainsaw - $600
- Three Raymax Weedwackers - $400
- One Push Blower - $1,500
- One pair of Trimming Shears - $300
- One pair of Trimming Shears - $500
- Various pieces of Tree Climbing equipment
The Lower Providence police report further notes that other businesses renting space at Soil Rich may have also been broken into, however, it was also reported that the Soil Rich property itself was found without signs of forced entry.
A Soil Rich employee told police that he left the property secured on Nov. 13 at approximately 5 p.m., and returned at approximately 6:45 a.m. to find the property still secured. However, upon inspection of the outside trailers, Soil Rich employees found some of the outside trailers forced open.
