Police: GPS Stolen from Unlocked Auto in Audubon
Police say that the theft occurred by unknown persons in an overnight incident.
According to Lower Providence Police, a GPS and wallet were taken from a vehicle while parked in the driveway of an Audubon home, during the overnight hours of Sept. 4.
The incident occurred at a home on the 2700 Block of Lantern Lane, where the resident parked both his vehicles. LPP was dispatched at 5:26 a.m. on Sept. 5.
The homeowner told police that unknown persons had entered one of his vehicles and took the items, amounting to $250. The resident said he saw both vehicles in his driveway at approximately 8:30 p.m. the night before. He explained that both vehicles had been left unlocked.
A flashlight, not belonging to the owner, was found in the vehicle where items were stolen, and was confiscated by police as evidence.
The resident’s second vehicle was described as “ransacked” but nothing was reported missing.
