Police: Theft From Vehicles in Eagleville
Lower Providence Police report one vehicle had over $3,500 stolen from it.
Theft From Vehicle - 2900 block of Village Green Lane in Eagleville.
According to Lower Providence Police (LPP), a resident at the 2900 block of Village Green Lane in Eagleville said that she parked her vehicle in her front driveway at 5 p.m. on July 25. According to the report, the resident said she left her pocketbook sitting on the front passenger seat, and did not recall if she locked the vehicle. The resident told police that she returned to her vehicle the following day to find it unlocked with no signs of forced entry. She said she noticed the contents of her pocketbook were moved around and discovered five $20-dollar bills missing from the pocketbook. She further reported that a small purse inside the pocketbook, containing additional cash and credit cards were still there. There were no suspects given at the time of report.
Theft From Vehicles – 2700 block Amy Drive in Eagleville
According to Lower Providence Police (LPP), reports of items, whose combined reported value exceeds $3,500, were stolen from vehicles at the 2700 block of Amy Drive in Eagleville, July 25.
According to the LPP report, a gold 2011 GMC Sierra pickup truck and a white 2011 GMC Acadia SUV were parked at the back end of the driveway. The LPP report states that both vehicles were parked on the driveway by 5 p.m. on July 24. The owner of the pickup truck reported to LPP that by 6:15 a.m. the following morning, he found the lid of the vehicle’s center console in the open position, with folders and papers previously on the dashboard, now on the front floor. The vehicle owner reported that his black leather tri-fold wallet, containing his driver’s license, credit cards and over $400 in cash was taken, along with $3,100 in cash that was wrapped in a rubber band, along with other items of monetary value. Loose change from the center console of the Acadia had also been reported taken.
