Rescue at West Norriton Wendy's

A worker injured on the roof was removed by emergency responders.

Emergency responders on Monday afternoon were working to remove an injured worker from the roof of the Wendy's location at 590 South Trooper Road near Egypt Road.

West Norriton Police said a man doing patching work on the roof of the restaurant had broken his ankle.

The Wendy's was closed while the rescue was underway. Traffic in the remainder of the Valley Forge Marketplace shopping center and on surrounding roadways was largely unaffected by the rescue activity.

In addition to Lower Providence Fire Company, Lower Providence Police, West Norriton Police, Jefferson Fire Company, and Plymouth Ambulance were assisting at the scene.

This place just got rebuilt from the ground-up less than 1 month ago... I can't believe it needed roof work already. Who the hell built it?

I believe the building structure itself was not too changed. A front was added. Something like a roof may (on the old back half) have still needed updating.
