The memorial was erected in 1994 thanks to donations from the county’s fire departments and supporting organizations. Today, the memorial is without space for any additional names. "While we hope and pray that this need will never arise, we realize the unfortunate likelihood that names will have to be added in the future," said John Kelly, chairman of the Fire Advisory Board. "Obsolete" status means people will no longer be able to have their devices serviced through an Apple store. But don't fret.
