Montco SAAC Adult Day Services Hires new Nurse Manager

Montco SAAC Adult Day Services is welcoming a new Nurse Manager Janice Tyson.  The Day Service, located in the SAAC building at 536 George Street in Norristown, is a closed unit for adults who can no longer stay alone due to Alzheimer’s or medical conditions.

 

Ms. Tyson has considerable experience in the nursing field and has worked as an RN Nurse Navigator, an RN Director of Services and a Charge Nurse at Parkhouse. She has also taught courses in the Medical Assistant program at Antonelli Medical and Professional Institute.

The Day Service provides supervised activities from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. week days. This allows family to work, recreate, or run errands, knowing that their loved one is well cared for and having a good time. Activities include exercise, music therapy, art and games. Lunch is served family style. Members are encouraged to participate in special events provided by the senior center.

Adult Day Service members are looking forward to new programs and activities with the addition of Ms. Tyson to the staff.
