Bridgeport Woman Wins Bottom Dollar Food Sweepstakes

A Bridgeport mother of four won $1,000 in free groceries and a sizable grill in the food store chain's sweepstakes.

Susan Shannon of Bridgeport has won Bottom Dollar Food’s BBQ Blowout Sweepstakes, where she was set to win $1,000 in free groceries and a deluxe grill after entering the sweepstakes on Facebook this summer, according to a release from the company.

“I still can't believe my entry was chosen as the winner in the BBQ Blowout Sweepstakes,” Shannon said. “The prizes are amazing and couldn't have come at a better time. I have four children – two in high school and two in college. The gift card will help tremendously in filling their back to school needs. As for the grill, if you could only see my present grill! It is being held up on piles of bricks and the grates to grill on are rusting away. This is truly a great way to end the summer.”

Shannon was set to receive the prizes at the King of Prussia location of a Bottom Dollar Food store. The grill is a Char-Broil TRU-Infrared Commercial 3-Burner Liquid Propane Gas Grill
