GVF and the King of Prussia District (KOP-BID), with the help of the Double Tree by Hilton Philadephia - Valley Forge and many local donors, collected 900 pounds of food for Philabundance this past holiday season which will provide 900 meals for people in need in the Delaware Valley.
"Community support from organizations like GVF and King of Prussia District is more important now than ever before," said Bill Clark, president and executive director of Philabundance. "We are experiencing a 29 percent increase in need compared to last year and a 98 percent increase over the last three years, so this donation is going to go a long way in the fight against hunger."

In its second year collecting for Philabundance, the organizations set a goal to collect at least 600 pounds of food to be distributed throughout the Delaware Valley.
"We were thrilled to learn that we exceeded our goal by 300 pounds. I'm consistently amazed at the generosity of our GVF partners, the King of Prussia District team and the many others who help us to come together to assist those in need. Another benefit was that we were able to hear about some great initiatives like when a family donated food at our office and told us that their daughter asked for donated food instead of gifts for her birthday party," said Rob Henry, Executive Director of GVF.
