Viewfinder: Sandy Aftermath Images in Lower Providence

By late afternoon, Oct. 30, the township had most of its roadways clear of debris and open to the driving public.

Mostly minor debris and lighter-than-typical traffic ruled the major arteries of Lower Providence, the day after Hurricane Sandy made landfall.

By mid-afternoon, most of the fallen trees and wires that were reported throughout the township due to the storm had been cleared from the roadways.

However, certain areas still exhibited the effects of Sandy, such as power generators loudly rumbling throughout residential neighborhoods or the sudden run-in with roadblocks along the quieter roads of the township.
