Hibachi Grill and Supreme Sushi Buffet Comes To Lower Providence Township

New restaurant brings sushi, hibachi and Asian cooking to Trooper.

Hibachi Grill and Supreme Sushi Buffet, located at 2739 Ridge Pike, Trooper, opened its doors with a Grand Opening event and now is operating business seven days a week with a number of options for local diners. The new restaurant is in the Acme shopping center known as Park Ridge.

With a hibachi chef, sushi chef and full buffet of American, Chinese and Japanese foods, the new restaurant has soups, salads, appetizers, entrees and desserts included with each per-diner price. Foods are both hot and cold. Each guest can add unlimited drinks for an additional $1.59.

The buffet is self-serve, and is all-you-can-eat. Diners are also treated to a full dessert buffet, which includes hard ice cream. There are eight flavors that rotate through the seasons.

The buffet itself offers over 300 options for foods. Traditional Chinese dishes, such as General Tso's chicken, lo mein and peppered steak are offered next to seafood choices like crabs, shrimp (peel-and-eat, fried and wrapped in bacon), clams (raw and steamed), lobster balls, and mussels. The sushi bar boasts more than 50 unique types of rolls and sashimi.

Diners can also select in a salad-bar, raw style items for a hibachi stir fry. The selections are then tossed onto a hot grill and cooked before your eyes while you wait. Various vegetables, rice and noodles can be mixed with your choice of meats, including pork, chicken, beef or shrimp (or of course remain meat-free).

Picky eaters will be happy to see American favorites, like French fries, onion rings, pizza and chicken nuggets.

Prices from Monday to Saturday for lunch, 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., are $7.25 for adults, $3.75 for age 3 to 6, and $4.75 for those ages 7 to 10. Children under 2 always eat for free. Senior citizens also always get 10 percent off.

The dinner buffet, offered from Monday to Wednesday, 3:30 to 10 p.m., is $9.99 for adults, $4.79 for 3 to 6, and $5.79 ages 7 to 10. From Thursday to Saturday, the buffet stays open to 11 p.m., and costs $10.99 adult, $5.59 3 to 6, and $6.99 7 to 10. Sundays have all-day dinner options from open to close (11 a.m. to 10 p.m.). The cost Sundays is the same as the weekend dinner cost.

A carry-out option is also available for diners on the go. Guests may choose at least three items from the buffet. The cost is $4.29 per pound at lunch hours, $5.29 per pound for dinner, $7.49 per pound for sushi and $6.49 per pound for mixed seafood.

We have been there twice. Very good food and very good selection! The first time we went, we didn't even notice the Hibachi bar in the back. It's a great idea! You get to choose what will be in your stir-fry, and the chef cooks it up for you. I also found that a buffet is a great way to get a child who is a picky eater to try new things. I was able to get my son to try 4 new foods in one night!

It was a HORRIBLE DECISION to go here... Staff were rude and gossiping throughout the entire ordeal. Paid $25 for 2 chewed up, spit out bites of food and after the 2 bites it was time to go. Shrimp were chewy like rubber, sushi was old, browning and sat out for what tasted like all day, food was impossible to stomach, FLIES EVERYWHERE. Started feeling physically nauseous, got up and asked for our money back. Owner was rude and denied any customer service proceedings. Disgusting experience, never going back there and will complain higher up about the FLIES and disdainful conditions of the food, help, and establishment.

well actually Dave , there are 2 homes that are literrally in the direct path of the center line ofRead More the sewer- I'm afraid if the sewer is permitted to go thru they would have to condemn them - the blasting would be so close- I don't think the houses could sustain it- they are built on pillars because their so close to the water- they are beautiful waterfront homes! full of children who go swimming and just love their homes and the creek.. the sewer would go right thru their well water lines and septic systems.. when there is another alternative right across the creek!

they don't care about us or their civic duty- I'm sorry but they made themselves very clear tonightRead More when after 3 yrs of pleading with them and even after DEP caught them in their deceptions with the 537 plan- they still chose to condemn us-- if they could just see the real people whose lives they are ruining forever but i forgot they don't care... well thank you Lower Providence for standing by us and thank you Trappe for standing with us.. Trappe was the only other township who cared!
