TFS: Our ideal customer is someone looking for quality clothing, unique pieces, and locally handmade accessories at great prices. They don't follow trends to just follow them, they buy what they like because they like it and it looks great on them. Our idea customer is also trying to offload some of the items in their closet to earn some extra cash via consignment.

TFS: We are very selective in what we bring into the store. We actively search for both new and like new items with a unique look and story. We support other local business owners by offering them another platform to sell their locally made designs. We also look for clothing and accessories made across the US or by fair trade design houses to help support women owned small businesses/up and coming designers.

We also host social DIY events Sip & Sews as a way to have a bit of fun with our customers and allow them to get creative with their fashions.

Most importantly, our profits are used to support local charitable projects or causes.

LPP: What made you decide to open a business?

TFS: I've always had a love for finding unique clothing because I just don't like wearing the same thing everyone else is wearing from the big box stores. It got to a point where I just stopped trying, because everyone wore the same thing and looked alike. While exploring ways to raise money to do more charitable work, I decided that I could marry my two loves. My love of clothing plus my desire to give back became The Frock Shoppe!

LPP: What’s your most popular item?

TFS: Frocks of course!! We sell a ton of dresses - mostly fun, flirty frocks.

LPP: What make’s your community special?

TFS: I love how people are so welcoming and willing to offer advice and ideas to support small businesses. I would have never expected to meet customers who are now friends through The Frock Shoppe. Customers become advisors, friends, supporters, and champions. It's truly amazing.

LPP: Where can customers find your specials?

TFS: On Facebook! www.facebook.com/thefrockshoppe and they can join our email distribution on our website. www.thefrockshoppe.com

LPP: What are your hours, website, Facebook page, etc.?

TFS: Hours: We're a weekend boutique, open 3 weekends a month and by chance from 12-4pm. We host evening Sip & Sew events twice per month as a fun way to do some fashionable DIY. It's BYOW(wine) and we provide all of the supplies to make something fun and fashionable. We're located at Center Point Pond (in the upper shops area). Customers can park at the pond and walk over the bridge to shop the stores.
