Why are you running for office: I believe that quality education is key – not only for the students that we are charged to educate, but also for both the micro and macro economy. It is critical that we continue to provide the quality education that Methacton is known for – not only will this ensure that our children develop the skills that they need to be successful in life, but so that our community is an attractive place for people to settle and live. Hand in hand with this comes the responsibility to the resident taxpayers, to make sure that this is done in a fiscally responsible way.

I have served on the Methacton School Board for the last 4 years, through some challenging times and issues, and would love the opportunity to serve again and continue working on the challenges facing the district.

What do you think are the biggest issues you would face in office:

-The completion of the proposed fields project

-Financial challenges, particularly escalating retirement costs

-The acclimation to the district of the new Superintendent

If elected, what would you aim to accomplish:

-To put the district in a sound financial shape, focusing on long range plans to maintain first-class educational programs without burdening the taxpayers.

-To build up the district’s fund balance to an appropriate level, so as to improve the credit rating of the district

-To drive to completion the Fields project, and other infrastructure projects that will ensure the safety of our students

What else would you like residents to know about you?

I have 3 sons, one of whom is a kindergartener at Woodland Elementary.
