ConservAmerica, a national grassroots organization of conservation-minded Republicans, is pleased to endorse Congressman Patrick Meehan for re-election to the House from Pennsylvania's 7th District.
"Congressman Meehan has stood out among House freshmen for his willingness to rise above partisanship to face up to our country's problems," ConservAmerica President Rob Sisson said. "He's not afraid to reach across the aisle to get things done and he doesn't care who gets the credit."
"Congressman Meehan refuses to accept the false notion that clean energy and a strong economy are mutually exclusive. He supports a balanced energy portfolio for America, including cleaner ways to use conventional energy resources and developing pollution-free renewable energy resources," ConservAmerica Vice President for Government Affairs David Jenkins said.
"Congressman Meehan also favors loosening the oil monopoly over transportation energy by promoting clean natural gas as a motor vehicle fuel," Jenkins said.
"We applaud Congressman Meehan for joining with other House Republicans in blocking wrong-headed legislation to weaken the Endangered Species Act. We also applaud his opposition to excessive reductions in budgets for water pollution control and for managing America's heritage lands, including our national parks and national wildlife refuges," ConservAmerica Vice President Jim DiPeso said.
"America needs more level-headed, results-oriented conservatives like Patrick Meehan in Congress. We urge 7th district voters to return Congressman Meehan to the House so he can continue serving Pennsylvania and all of America," Sisson said.
