Bald Eagle spotted in Worcester Township

A bald eagle, the well known symbol of the USA, was spotted in Worcester Township on Thursday, February 20th. Gail DuPont and her son, Matthew, both of Worcester, initially spied the eagle in a tree at the intersection of Trooper Road and Woodlyn Avenue. After a brief flight the eagle was once again sighted at the Trinity Lutheran Church located on Valley Forge Road. Matthew, age 15, was able to capture this image of the majestic bird while it perched in at tree at thechurch. According to the Pennsylvania Game Commission there are and estimated 271 nesting pairs of eagles throughout the state.
