Finally progress at ParkHouse

Everyone is entitled to their opinon and such a change it traumatic, but th is for the future wellbeing of our rapidly growing elder population. ParkHouse has been obsolete for years. Needs a total revamp. If you do your research, the field of eldercare has changed, dramatically.
Every year ParkHouse has been losing millions. It has remained the same due to the love of Montco's elders and belief that change would displace longterm well connected employees.
I could not be more enthusiastic about this progress. The residents will continued to be cared for with love and excellent skill staffed.
The configuration of that care is being modernized and made affodable. In the field of geriatricess, the employees will have no difficulty finding work, should they decide not to stay. 200 acres will accomodate a fabulos continuing care community. We are one of the counties if not the largest and growing elder population. The existing facilities being run by the county will continue to leave us way behind where we need to be.
I congratulate the Commissoner's on this long over due move. Wish the residents and the employees a smooth and benefical transition. If they chose not to stay on, they will have no difficulty finding comrable employment. They are some of the most dedicated caregivers, that I have known in my 35 years working in Human Serices. Think positive, this is outstanding for the future of the residents of Montgomery County.
Next privatize the Youth Center and the Prison. Congrats on the sale of HSC.  All the right moves in my opinion! Wish, that I was there to help. Regards, Joe Roynan,MHS (retired human service director for Montco).
