Duo Arrested for Selling Nitrous Oxide at Philly Folk Fest, Police Say

Daniel and Deborah Stone, of Upper Salford, allegedly sold balloons full of nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas.

An Upper Salford duo were arrested for allegedly selling nitrous oxide at the Philadelphia Folk Fest on Aug. 16, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

Police were dispatched around 7:45 p.m. to the Schwenksville festival and allegedly found that Deborah J. Stone, 62, and Daniel J. Stone, 37, were in possession of a 20 pound tank of nitrous oxide and were selling balloons of the compound, known as laughing as, to festival patrons, according to the PSP.

A partially-full tank of nitrous oxide that was confiscated from Daniel and Deborah Stone, according to police.

The individuals will be charged in Montgomery County District Court.
