Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Upper Providence

The crash occurred in front of Pope John Paul II High School just before 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred at South Township Line and Old Mill Roads in Upper Providence  Township just before 11 a.m. Wednesday, causing the closure of South Township Line Road between Rittenhouse and Buckwalter roads, according to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety.

The crash, which occurred in front of Pope John Paul II High School on the border of Limerick and Upper Providence townships, reportedly occurred as a motorcyclist hit a guardrail going north on South Township Line Road, according to the Times Herald.

The driver of the motorcycle has not been identified; Patch will update this story as more information becomes available.
