Plymouth PD Introduces New K-9 Fox

The German Shepherd replaces K-9 Nick, who was retired to live with the family of Fallen Plymouth police officer Brad Fox.

The Plymouth Township Police Department introduces a new member of the force last week, a K-9 named Fox.

K-9 Fox is a 2-year-old German Shepard imported from Czechoslovakia and will be trained a s patrol and explosives detection dog, according to police.

Officer Jonathan Monaghan, the partner of K-9 Fox, will begin training together at Castle’s K-9 in Mechanicsburg, Pa., in September.

K-9 Fox replaces former K-9 Nick, who was given to the family of his partner, Officer Brad Fox, who died in September while responding to a scene with Nick.  Nick was injured during the incident.

In January, Conicelli Toyota of Plymouth donated $20,000 to the Plymouth Township Police Department to replace Nick’s position in the department.
