Police: Thefts in Audubon and Collegeville
A stolen E-Z Utility Dumpster Trailer in Audubon was estimated to be worth $2,800 - $3,200, while $300 was said to be taken from Classic Coachwork West in Collegeville.
E-Z- Utility Trailer Gone
The owner of a E-Z Utility Dumpster Trailer reported it stolen to Lower Providence Police on Oct. 2.
The owner told police that sometime between Sept. 30 evening and Oct. 2, unknown persons stole his trailer from out front of the owner’s residence, located along Sandown Road in Audubon. The owner’s family members say that the trailer was parked in front of the house on Oct. 1, but could not confirm.
It is described as a black, single axle trailer, with a drop gate, wire mesh, wooden deck and black metal rails. The owner told police that the trailer could be picked up by the hitch and then hooked onto a vehicle.

A Truckload of Scrap Metal
Lower Providence Police report that $300 worth of scrap metal has been taken over the weekend of Sept. 28 and Oct. 2 from Classic Coach Work West auto body shop, located on the 3900 block of W. Ridge Pike in Collegeville.
A Classic Coachwork employee told police that the scrap metal was behind the building and not in the secure yard. The scrap metal consisted mostly of car suspension parts. Police suspect that those involved used a regular-size pick up truck, because only enough scrap was taken to fill a truck, and scrap was left behind.
The employee told police that he had no suspects in mind.
