Possible Attempt of Tire Theft Outside of Apartments, Say Police

A man told police that a person or people tried to steal the tires and rims from his vehicle, say Lower Providence police.

A man told police that someone tried to remove the tires and rims from his car that he parked overnight at an apartment complex in Audubon, say police.

Lower Providence police met with alleged victim at an apartment complex around the 100 block of Mill Grove Drive in Audubon On Sept. 23 at about 11 a.m., according to a police report. The man told police that, over the night, some person or people had tried to remove the tires and rims from his car after he parked it there around 9:30 p.m., say police.

The man told police that all of the lug nuts on the tires had been removed, according to the report. The man told police that he thinks that whoever removed the lug nuts may have been scared from continuing to remove the tires, because that person or people dropped the lug nuts in the grass, and also left behind a crowbar wrench that could have been used to remove the lug nuts, say police.

The man showed police a crowbar that lay on the ground next to one of the tires, say police. The man told police that he had located all but three of the lug nuts, say police.
