Two Thefts from Autos Reported in Eagleville

Two neighbors, along the 3000 block of Walker Lane in Eagleville, made separate reports concerning missing items and cash from their respective vehicles on Nov. 7.

The first report, according to Lower Providence Police, occurred overnight. The vehicle owner told police he noticed on the morning of Nov. 7 that $190 in cash and two Wawa gift cards were stolen. The owner also said that signed checks were left in an envelope where the cash had been. The money was left in the glove box, and the gift cards in the center console.

The owner further told police that he left his car in the driveway, unlocked, at approximately 8 p.m. According to the owner, he remained awake until 11:30 p.m., but did not see the motion spot light in the area of the driveway turn on.

Lower Providence Police were dispatched to a second theft from auto report on Walker Lane, just a few homes away from the first.

In this report, the vehicle owner said that he parked his vehicle at approximately 10 p.m. on Nov. 6. The following day, the vehicle owner received an e-mail alert from a neighbor about a theft from their vehicle, and checked his own.

The owner found a zipper on the soft top of his vehicle opened and a 9-foot electric blow-up Halloween ghost, valued at $75, and $6 in loose coins were stolen. Minor damage also occurred on the console of the vehicle.

In both reports, neither vehicle owner reported any suspects to police. Lower Providence Police advise not leaving valuables in vehicles and to ensure that vehicles are locked. Any suspicious activity observed should be reported to the police.
