Nighttime Travel Restrictions on U.S. 422-Rt. 363 Interchange This Week

There will be nighttime lane closures at the U.S. Route 422 and Route 363 interchange this week due to roadwork.

Nighttime lane closured are scheduled at the interchange of U.S. Route 422 and Route 363 (Trooper Road) in in West Norriton and Lower Providence from Oct. 14-17 to allow for roadwork for a significant interchange improvement project, according to a media release from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

This roadwork is under the umbrella of PennDOT’s $16.8 million dollar project to make it easier for motorists to pass through the interchange; two more ramps will be built and Route 363 will be widened.

From Oct. 14-17, motorists will see a lane closure on Route 363 at the Route 422 interchange in from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. as workers concrete traffic islands and do shoulder paving.

When the barriers are in place Route 422’s westbound lanes will narrowed from 12 feet to 11 feet through the interchange.
