Now's the time to pull out your best Scorsese skills.

Montgomery County Community College's Communicating Arts Production Group has offered a challenge to area filmmakers: write, shoot, edit and score a film in five days.

The Five-Day Film Festival competition kicks off Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. at the school's Advanced Technology Center atrium in Blue Bell. Films are due 7 p.m. Oct. 29.
All films will be screened at The Ambler Theater Nov. 11 at a free and public event.

Best film wins $500. Entry fee is $25 per team.

At the kickoff, teams will be randomly assigned a genre of film, such as noir or drama.

There are some requirements for the films: they must include a line of dialogue, they must include a prop in the body of the film and they must include a theme that can be interpreted however the filmmakers wish. These three requirements will be announced at the kickoff event.
