Methacton School District is holding a community forum meeting tonight, Jan. 28, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Worcester Township Community Hall, 1031 Valley Forge Road in Eagleville.
At the meeting, Dr. Timothy Quinn, superintendent of the district, will present the findings from the 2012-2013 School Data Portfolio – a sort of state of the union report that provides important information on demographics, class size and statistics for the entire district. The information is meant to help inform important decisions about the direction of the district.
Just a few of the interesting figures compiled in the report include:
- 5,085 students
- 98.4% graduation rate (89% will continue their formal education, 2% joined the military)
- 15 Advanced Placement Courses
- Average SAT Score – 1658 (State – 1472, National – 1498)
- 10 National Merit Finalists in 2011-12
You can download the full Data Portfolio in our PDF section or from the district's website.
Seating for the forum is limited and as of last week, there were only a few spots left. If you are interested in attended, RSVP to Angela Linch at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 610-489-5000, ext. 15412.
