Plenty of Winter Fun Scheduled for Methacton Community

The Methacton School District has released its Winter 2013 Community Education Program guide.

Have you been hoping to take a day trip up to New York City? Have you been meaning to take French lessons for all these years? Putting off those dog obedience lessons? There is now one place, oddly enough, to find all of that.

The Methacton School District has released its Winter 2013 Community Education Program guide. Within its pages, the local residents can find a wide variety of classes, activities, clubs and trips.

There are unique courses for any age group. From "Aqua Zumba" held by the local YMCA, to American Ballroom Dancing classes at Arrowhead Elementary School's gym, there is a unique array of educational programs offered by the district.

Some classes teach students to become "Clever Coupon clippers." Others offer oil painting instructions. Have you ever wanted to make your own website? Is it time to plan for retirement? Don't worry, the guide has courses for you, too.

A registration form is included in the last page of the guide. The guide, in full, is posted here with the article. You can also register online. Credit card payments must include a $6 convenience fee to process. The form must be mailed with a self-addressed, stamped envelope in which to return the confirmation letter.

Full refunds are only provided if a class is cancelled.

"If we do not receive enough registrations for a class/trip, you will receive a cancellation call and/or email within 48 hours of the class/trip date. You will not be contacted if there is adequate enrollment for the class/trip to run," said the guide.

For more on the programs, open the .pdf file attached to this article (see above) or visit the Methacton website. Residents can also call 610-489-5000, ext. 15007.

"The Community Education Program is under the auspices of the Methacton School District, is selfsupporting, and is a not-for-profit organization," said the guide.
