Audubon Recreation Association Boys' Team Wins Ripken Pennsylvania Northwest State Championship

The Audubon Recreation Association (ARA) celebrated yet another championship victory after their 8U Travel Team won the Ripken Pennsylvania Northwest State Championship Tuesday night 11-1 against the runner-up Spring Ford.

The ARA boys played six games over four days.  They were undefeated over the weekend, besting teams from Cumberland County, Brandywine, Blue Mountain, Waynesboro, and Kimberton, aside from Spring Ford, which earned them the right to represent the state of Pennsylvania at the Ripken Middle Atlantic States Tournament in Great Kills, New York starting August 2nd.

“The boys have continued to improve all summer and they played very well all weekend,” said manager Greg Christian. “We are very fortunate to have 11 great families that gave us 12 super kids, who also happen be pretty decent ball players for their age.  We are very excited about participating in the regional tournament.”
