Audubon Recreation Association in Lower Providence Opens Fall Registration for Kids

The local kids' sports organization will offer baseball and softball in the fall.

The Audubon Recreation Association (ARA) in Lower Providence has opened its registration for fall baseball and softball.

According to ARA, fall baseball and softball are a great way to extend the ball-playing season from early September to October.  Like the spring ball-playing, the fall session is recreational and players may travel short distances to play teams from other leagues.

According to ARA secretary Patrick Duffy, the ARA is a community-based organization that sponsors baseball, basketball, and softball for girls and boys from the age of four through 14 years.  The organization, founded in 1967, serves families that are generally from Lower Providence, Schuykill, and Worcester.  Over 700 families participate each year.
