Collegeville Fire Co. Plans Second Annual Hero Run

The event will be held Oct. 20 and a portion of proceeds will go to West, Texas and Prescott, Ariz. fire companies.

The Collegeville Fire Co. is now accepting registrations for its Second Annual Hero Run 5K, which will be held on Oct. 20.

The race will begin at the Collegeville Station parking lot, on Third Ave and Chestnut Street in Collegeville Borough, and will continue up Locust Street to Clahor Avenue, to Zvarick Road, 11th Ave. , and winding to Sixth Avenue en route back to the parking lot.

Emergency vehicles will be on hand at the finish line, as well as other activities.

“Be sure to bring the kids and check out some of the vehicles and equipment that our Heroes use to keep us safe everyday,” said organizers.

Proceeds from the run, which cost between $25 and $35, based on registration date, will be donated to West, Texas Volunteer Fire Department and the Granite Mountain Hotshots of Prescott, AZ.
