Any PA Residents out there, please take note! The PA House is trying to quietly slip through a billRead More that will open the door for local and county governments to sell public parkland. If you'd like to sign, go to change.org and search: "The Governor of PA: Reject House Bill 2224" Or copy/paste this link into your browser: http://www.change.org/petitions/the-governor-of-pa-reject-house-bill-2224 Thank you.

This is a great article. I am a business coach myself and have very good experience with takingRead More young students "under your wing" and help them to succeed. I actually had the same help when I was a teenager living in Germany. This article inspired me again to start a similar program here in England, where I live, helping young students by mobilizing retired business managers to meet once a week at a nice coffee place and coach them on their business endeavor. That way I can help the students AND the retired managers, and I think both will enjoy it. Ralf Gerhardt, www.gibd-team.com

How will that area be affected by the sewer crossing? seems a shame to fix it up just to haveRead More construction workers tear it down. Will it be marked as a Do Not Destroy area during construction of the sewer crossing???

What a great story!! These young Marines will benefit so much from the time spent with their groupRead More learning to become caring and giving adults. Hats off to the Vogels for all the hard work they put into the children!!

Who is benefiting from all the fund raising going on? It has not been the kids.
Robert Applegarth July 23, 2012 at 12:52 am
Eileen Beane, If what you say is true, then why don't you contact the Marine Corps League and adviseRead More them of the information you have regarding the apparent misappropriation of funds. Don't forget to include all the pertinent information such as how much money was raised from each fund raising event, the dates of the fundraisers, where the money was spent, and who actually is responsible for this apparent misappropriation of funds. I am sure they would be more than happy to address the situation. Please advise everyone on this site as to the outcome of your efforts and what the Marine Corps League was able to confirm in this matter. We need more folks like you to be stand-up individuals who move forward with their claims to resolve such irresponsible actions; especially those which involve misuse of any military organizations. I hope to hear from you concerning your assertion as stated: "Who is benefiting from all the fund raising going on? It has not been the kids."
