Cash Reported Stolen from Collegeville Vehicle

Over $240 in cash was found in the the car, but the groceries were left intact in the trunk.

According to Lower Providence Police, a resident, along the 1000 block of Doris Drive in the Collegeville section of the township, reported that between $240 and $260 in cash was stolen from his vehicle. The incident was reported on Dec. 31, 2012. The resident told police that the previous night the vehicle was parked in his driveway, and was unsure if it was locked. The resident adds that his wife’s vehicle was parked along side his own, but was not disturbed. The resident said that both he and his wife were home all night, but heard nothing. By 9:45 a.m. the following morning, the resident discovered that his vehicle had been entered and ransacked, with the contents of its center compartment all over the front seats. The resident told …

Two Thefts from Autos Reported in Eagleville

Gift cards, cash and a 9-foot blow-up Halloween Ghost were reported missing from the respective vehicles, one of which was left unlocked overnight.

Two neighbors, along the 3000 block of Walker Lane in Eagleville, made separate reports concerning missing items and cash from their respective vehicles on Nov. 7. The first report, according to Lower Providence Police, occurred overnight. The vehicle owner told police he noticed on the morning of Nov. 7 that $190 in cash and two Wawa gift cards were stolen. The owner also said that signed checks were left in an envelope where the cash had been. The money was left in the glove box, and the gift cards in the center console. The owner further told police that he left his car in the driveway, unlocked, at approximately 8 p.m. According to the owner, he remained awake until 11:30 p.m., but did not see the motion spot light in the area of the …

Police: GPS Stolen from Unlocked Auto in Audubon

Police say that the theft occurred by unknown persons in an overnight incident.

According to Lower Providence Police, a GPS and wallet were taken from a vehicle while parked in the driveway of an Audubon home, during the overnight hours of Sept. 4. The incident occurred at a home on the 2700 Block of Lantern Lane, where the resident parked both his vehicles. LPP was dispatched at 5:26 a.m. on Sept. 5. The homeowner told police that unknown persons had entered one of his vehicles and took the items, amounting to $250.  The resident said he saw both vehicles in his driveway at approximately 8:30 p.m. the night before. He explained that both vehicles had been left unlocked. A flashlight, not belonging to the owner, was found in the vehicle where items were stolen, and was confiscated by police as evidence.
